This article is how to mine abelian on hive os rigs. BE WARNED: This process has caused multiple rigs to brick on reboot. Provided you never reboot you can get this going. I would still recommend using a clean install of ubuntu server 22.04 INSTEAD. The reason for this is due to the script installing the updated GCC libraries which are a part of the linux kernel. PROCEED With Caution. This assumes you already have a wallet set up per my windows guide.

It is time...

I have decided to liquidate my entire crypto mining equipment and supplies and exit the gpu mining space.

It has been fun and all equipment was paid for by profits from mining. Mining helped cover college tution for my son, fully pay for a massive home remodel project, and various travel around the world.

I want to specifically thank @sonofatech for all his insight and guides to help point me in the right direction. Without him, none of this would have been possible. I will continue to support this locals channel with my yearly membership. You just never know!!

Get node software

unzip

start screen to test (can make service later)

screen -S astrixd

Enter Directory

cd astrix-node

Start node with mining settings

./astrixd --utxoindex --rpclisten-borsh=default --rpclisten=0.0.0.0:34150

ctrl+a+d to exit screen
Enter directory

cd astrix-node

Start Wallet

./astrix-wallet

Connect wallet to node

connect 127.0.0.1

Create Wallet

wallet create

Use hiveOS image in custom miner requires kernel 6.1 meaning latest beta and now they did update latest stable to 6.1 as long as you use replace option to upgrade to it or on first burn. GUI latest stable will not update the kernel.
